Shae Salmon

Shae Salmon is best known for incorporating her life long passion for photography into semi-abstract mixed media paintings. Starting with an acrylic base and with textural layers and translucent colours, she builds on her images creating an abstract world in hopes of captivating the viewers imagination. Originally from Saskatchewan, Shae holds a BFA from the University of Regina. As a Mixed Media Artist she has continued her studies in design, colour theory, mixed media techniques and painting through BCIT, Capilano University and

local workshops. Living in North Vancouver, BC. Shae is an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, THRIVE mastermind group and the North Shore Artists' Guild, where she has served on the board as Exhibitions Director.

 

Her art has been exhibited & sold at Art Vancouver, Braid Street Gallery, Brushstrokes Gallery, City Scape Gallery - Art Rental Program, North Shore Unitarian Church, Whistler Christmas Market, North Shore Artists' Guilds Spring & Winter shows, Make It Vancouver, Park & Tilford's Art in the Garden and the Federation of Canadian Artists - Limitless show. Shae is co-owner of 3 Brushes Studio with artists Maureen Coles & Danyne Johnston. Located right in the artistic hub of the North Shore, 3 Brushes Studio is a bright space that radiates lots of creative energy and a supportive atmosphere. A working artists' studio, 3 Brushes Studio offers private classes, group painting, workshops and studio rental space.
